The Leader of National Center for Technological Progress in Ho Chi Minh City worked with scientists of the HCMC University of Technology and Education.
On the afternoon of November 16, 2021, the leader of the NACENTECH in HCM City had an online meeting with scientists of the Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology – HCMC University of Technology & Education; which the aims to exchange information and finding collaboration opportunities in scientific research, technology transfer and application in production-based.
The working session with the participations of Dr. Nguyen Thi Tinh Au – Vice Dean of Chemistry & Food Faculty, Dr. Vo Thi Nga – Former Dean of Faculty, Dr. Tran Thi Kim Anh – Head Department of Environmental Technology, Dr. Hoang Thi Tuyet Nhung – Deputy Head Department of Environmental Technology and Dr. Truong Minh Ngoc – NACENTECH’s Branch Director.
At the meeting, Dr. Truong Minh Ngoc, Dr. Hoang Thi Tuyet Nhung introduced the main activities of scientific research being done and future research orientations, thereby showing that the two sides have great potential of collaboration in the fields of rural environmental treatment; nanotechnology in fertilizers; studying and extracting natural compounds as functional foods and medicines for treating human diseases; research on adaptation to climate change in agricultural farming; jointly participate in conferences and international collaborations organized by either party.
To concretize cooperation issues, right in the 2022 plan, the two sides have agreed to implement of the following contents:
– Scientists from the Faculty of Chemical & Food Technology will support the NACENTECH HCM in studying and extracting active ingredients of which from the Indian insulin plant as a drink to help the treatment of diabetes; using extraction of natural active ingredients from plants in the prevention of diseases caused by Vibrio bacteria in shrimp
– Exchanging more information in research and application of nanotechnology to produce fertilizers for the agricultural use.
– Proposing common research directions in the implementation of science and technology tasks and international cooperation projects.
It is expected that in December 2021, the two sides will have an in-person meeting to discuss more closely the issues in accordance with the spirit of mutual development.
