Evaluation of some solutions to inhibit the growth of soursop seeds (Annona muricata).

Result:

  • Spraying GA3 at 1.000 ppm reduced the number of seeds per fruit by 55,80% compared to the control, reducing the average seed weight of Soursop fruit 52% compared to the control. Fruit set rate increased by 78% compared to the control (50,63%) and effective in increasing the average weight of the fruit and increase the Brix of Soursop fruit.
  • Using NAA at 400ppm increased average fruit weight and fruit Brix.
  • Using 2.4D at a concentration of 100ppm for the least number of seeds/fruit in the studied treatments (26,52 seeds/fruit), reduction in the number of seeds per fruit reaching 40,42% compared to the control.
  • Spraying 2,4D for Soursop at a concentration of 100-150ppm made the fruit set rate reach 66,48 – 77,83%, increasing from 15,53 – 26,88% compared to the control. Spraying with 2,4D at a concentration of 100ppm significantly increased the average fruit weight 1,44 kg/fruit while the control reached 1,21 kg/fruit. Spray 2,4D at a concentration of 50; 100; 150ppm has the effect of increasing the Brix of Soursop fruit.
